ProNourish

You might not have heard the news but Nestle has launched a line of low FODMAP meal replacement drinks. For all of us who are low FODMAP long term that is great news. They worked with nutritionists across the country who specialize in FODMAP diets, including my own, and while they didn’t take all of the advice given to them they took a majority of it.

ProNourish isn’t really all that surprising to come from Nestle. Their Boost High Protein was already pretty FODMAP friendly. The exciting bit is that they are actually marketing and acknowledging the restrictions imposed by digestive health issues.

As far as flavor, the vanilla is pretty much exactly the same as the High Protein. Not terrible but also definitely needs to be enjoyed cold. The strawberry-banana has a very potent banana flavor. I don’t mind it but I usually end up using it in smoothies instead of drinking it straight.

I am terrible about posting on here. It is one of my goals for the year to write more in general. That means I’m hoping to give this place a little more love.

This year I will probably be weaning off of my FODMAP diet toward the end of the year so I would love some feedback about what you would like to see more of here. I don’t want that to be the end of the blog though so I would love to come up with some way to keep this place alive whether it is by focusing on chronic illness or whatever it is you’re interested in hearing about. I’m taking requests for both FODMAP related posts and anything else you would be interested in seeing on here.

Hey guys! Just so you know I am not dead. I had surgery last month so my level of experimentation is way down. Instead I have been devoting my blogging time to plugging away at other projects like trying to come up with an ideal shopping list, etc.

What would you like to see? Different kinds of shopping lists (for one person, healthy, on a budget, etc)? Any recipes or subjects you want to see tackled? Also, are you happy with just my posts on here or would you like to see other things like pictures from other people, etc? Would a move to tumblr be something you’d be interested in seeing from me?
